The Grand Ohio is a 593 unit high-rise property located in Chicago’s Streeterville neighborhood. Constructed in 1985, the building's architecture and interior finishes dated the property. After purchase, the Company embarked on a significant rehabilitation in order to reposition the property. All common areas received facelifts including structural changes, new flooring, light fixtures, and wall coverings. The Grand Ohio Health Club was also completely renovated, and a contemporary entrance to the building was constructed to replace the original building entrance. New loft units were constructed in unfinished commercial space on the third floor, offering hardwood floors, terraces, and high ceilings. New storefront treatments for the retail space on the ground floor were designed to highlight a more intimate feel to the building. The property was sold out in 29 months.
