Mr. Kramer, grandson of one of Draper and Kramer’s founders, has been involved in many areas of the company’s operations since he joined it in 1967.
Mr. Kramer has worked over the past four decades, led a number of key Draper and Kramer operations, including commercial management, mortgage banking and residential management. He joined the company after serving as a line officer in the United States Navy.
A graduate of Colby College, Waterville, Maine, with a bachelor’s degree, Mr. Kramer received his master’s degree in city planning from Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Mr. Kramer has served on a number of corporate and civic boards, and currently is Chairman of the Near South Planning Board, Founder and Former Chairman of the Foundation for Excellence, a member of the Duncan YMCA board, and a Member of the School Board for High School District 86. He also is active in the Urban Land Institute, Lambda Alpha International, Mortgage Bankers of America, and the Chicago Development Council.
