Mr. Van Senus has nearly 30 years of experience in many facets of the real estate industry.
In his current position, which he has held since 1996, he is a
director of development and project management services for clients
and for Draper and Kramer’s sponsored properties. The Asset
Management Group works with all the corporation’s sponsored
partnerships, providing acquisition and disposition strategies,
capital budgeting, annual management reviews, financial, accounting
and partner communications at the property and portfolio levels.
These partnerships own about 7,500 multi-family units, plus shopping
centers and office buildings totaling more than 1 million square
feet in five states. The Project Management Services Group offers
project-based support on a variety of properties, including thousands
of occupied residential units. Mr. Van Senus also is a member of
Draper and Kramer’s Management and Investment committees.
Before accepting his current position, Mr. Van Senus served as Director of the Rental Management Group for four years, after managing Draper and Kramer’s Houston, Texas, regional management office for three years. Mr. Van Senus came to Draper and Kramer with 13 years of experience in real estate finance, development and management of a variety of properties in Northwest Indiana and Southwest Michigan.
He received his bachelor’s degree and a master’s in business administration from Indiana University. Mr. Van Senus earned the Certified Property Management designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management. He has authored several articles and won the Distinguished Author Award from the Journal of Property Management.
